Spanish Classes Start at the Library

The South Cheatham Public Library will begin Spanish Classes in September for children and adults. The cost will be $15.00 per student per 7- week session and checks can be made out to the Friends of the Library. Library Director, Janet Walker has a degree in Spanish and will be leading the sessions using the DVD series "Kids love Spanish". The childrens classes begin on Friday September 19th at 1:00pm for homeschool students and at 3:30 for those attending traditional school. Each class will last one hour and is targeted at elementary age students. We will begin the adult lessons on Thursday night September 25th at 7:00pm and will continue on the 2nd and 4th Thursday nights of the month. We will be using the DVD instructional series "Destinos" which teaches speaking, listening, and comprehension skills. "Destinos" immerses students in everyday situations with native speakers and introduces the cultures, accents and dialects of many Latin cultures. For more information or to sign-up please call the library at 952-4752, classes will be limited to 15 students per session.
